This two year program offers an in-depth study of calligraphic hands and their uses. It is not necessary to take the classes in order, new students welcome in this ongoing class. Some experience is helpful.

Fall, Italic: Graceful and flowing, this is what most people think of when they refer to "calligraphy." From the skeletal form (often adapted to handwriting) to shapes and variations created by the edged pen, italic is beautiful, functional and versatile. NO CLASS OCTOBER 19.

This 10 weeks session meets September 14 to November 23
on Mondays from 9:30am to 12:30pm.

Calligraphy, 26 Decorated Letters
Add color and a bit of gold to your work in the form of illuminated capital letters. Be inspired by traditional versals and create modern playful letterforms. Embellish a body of text with a beautiful initial or accent your scrapbooks, journals and greeting cards. Supply list given at registration. All levels welcome. 

This 6 week session meets September 15 to October 20, on Tuesdays 10am to 12pm.

Basic Italic at Bellevue Community College
Eight classes: Tuesdays - Sept. 29 to Nov. 17  from 9:30 - 12:00

Both beginning and advanced students are welcome.
The class will be an opportunity to learn this graceful and very useful script; plus many creative projects will be provided to help make practicing your skills more fun!
