Dancing with the Romans
Workshop with Barbara Close
May 6th & 7th, 2012
We will start off with a review of the classic Roman proportions for Roman Caps, then will adventure into the creative side of the dance in making the pages come alive. Romans can be really fun if you introduce yourself properly to them. No need to be afraid.
We will be exploring in many dance "steps" on the first day with the final outcome on the second day, being a book to house all the beautifully created pages. The use of color will be a strong part of the dance, either in watercolors or gouache. Exciting art elements will help support the page design.
Use your calligraphic skills and drawn or stamped images to create mini art on a shrinkable plastic surface. Make jewelry, scrapbook embellishments and more.
